Doc Dude Dad

Dude, what has culture done for me?

hen Bondi bays culture like a wolf howling at the moon it isn’t farcical. None of us has pulled ourselves up by our bootstraps that would mean spitting out a nipple and storming out of the womb to figure out the world. We are more clever but dumber than our ancestors who had to do it for the first time. We bleed culture our intelligence helps but I was taught the strategies to make fire, I understand 802-11b routing but I can’t design or build a transistor or a vacuum tube but our ancestors those geniuses built our modern world and I can say thank you and try to do something new, innovative or just caring. It’s the culture that brings this dude back.

We transmit our genes but share our culture and that makes a thing worth doing. We have a great culture built on bonding, working for each other, and no pressure. We are building a diverse team who lives for a short pass, loves a good laugh and prepares for a cold beverage.

We have been spoiled spectators of late with some great Euro matches. Short passes, play the way you are facing and give the ball right back if there is space more passes, more space run their legs off chasing.

Why work on being a dude to mix that ethos in the cultural stew. Easy, Cool (not cold) and no drama. To be a good ancestor and pay it forward (Whakapapa).
