Dude Sniffing Glue
Well, every morning isn’t the same. This dude has never been a glue-sniffing advocate. In fact, I have seen a lot of harm, seizures, poor choices, not to mention bad artistic expression with antisocial intent. For that reason, we choose to avoid sleeping in our home with two recently sealed floors; the hotel was okay on night one. The shed was subpar last night but still adequate.
If this one gets tilted, I blame the volatile hydrocarbons and the bitter tonic. When making memories or punctuating life, don’t dwell on inane nuisances, petty annoyances, or micturition on rugs; retort with wit, decorum, and comedy: “at least I’m housebroken”. Informed enough to avoid my excrement. I have picked less hills to die on; people enjoy doing dumb things (games with risk of injury, jumping from high places, DIY when untrained, unskilled and under-tooled), but I call that job security. I just point out a little planning and a little control, a bit of maintenance beforehand, and they may have preserved a knee or hamstring, avoided injury or being impaled.
We face a worthy adversary that tends to drag us into unsavoury behaviour. No Drama. We need to keep the ball to our feet and pass the way we face and move together and keep it easy. Easy, boys. Easy. Last week we had a few bad bounces, several clutch saves and two class finishes. More of the class, and we can hope the bounce goes our way. The cannon Will just took off the chest and the double save @SB flicked over the bar with the back of his head will be etched in my brain. Besides being banged up enough that I asked a colleague to check me over on Tuesday, I enjoyed the game.
The drama was low; the phases of play strong. We just let a few through late, and I don’t have to like it, but I still enjoyed the game. Plunderers, I ask you to play together, our style, our game; keep it simple, calm and easy. I want that flow that produced the two goals and I want us to look out for each other.
