Be cool, not cold. 2023 I started channelling the dude. I wasn't organised. I had no clue if the effort would help. 2024 you lot named me co-captain and the request came through that the dude continue. I am aspiring and judging by my first red card (only 2 yellows in my former career) I may need to be more dude-like than the rest. The ethos of the Plunderers, (clears throat) culture inspired this dude.
We Play Games for 1 or more of 4 motivations.
Intrinsic Achievement Play. Winning the league. Extrinsic achievement Play. Building a reputation or money won from poker. Intrinsic Striving Play. Care about the process, learning, and struggling this is what the Plunderers do. Extrinsic striving play. playing TWISTER – try really hard but fall over, running a marathon for health, signing up for a triathlon for me was a reason to train and if I am lucky the brain shuts up. It isn't goofing off intrinsic and extrinsic striving play are no fun if you do not try. The trying, the struggle that is why come back, possibly the booze and buddies. Anyway for you lot.
